A CASAFINA CHRISTMAS
Christmas is not just any season. It is one like no other. It marks the beginning of an eternal sacrifice, love, and thanksgiving.
It goes beyond the aesthetics of decorating trees, but further into the act of giving and sharing, and these acts of the season are often overlooked.
At Casafina Group, we understand that there is something about the simple things.
On Friday, December 4, 2020, we embarked on our first empowerment corporate social responsibility to the people of the Ilaje/Otumara community, located in Ebute-Metta, right in the heart of Lagos state.
And yes, the members of this community stole our hearts, as they welcomed us with open arms to the very humble place, they have learned to call home.
Home to over five hundred thousand (500,000) people, their most overwhelming character was the smiles on their faces. Despite having little to eat, and living in very unfavorable conditions, their wholesome smiles never failed to spread from ear to ear as they saw us approach.

Seeing those genuine smiles made me remember a quote by PT Barnum, “The Noblest Art Is That Of Making Others Happy”.
And that was exactly what we did.

Ilaje O tu mi lara, which loosely means, “Ilaje is comfortable for me”, was indeed comfortable for us.
