DON’T BEHAVE LIKE THIS IN 2021!
If 2020 taught us anything, it is that through applying the right wisdom, we can survive anything that life throws at us.
Just as they say, “wisdom is profitable to direct.”
So, it is best we begin this year with a come-back mindset and go for everything last year took from us.
It’s okay to have a good laugh, but this is not a year for expensive jokes🙅🏾♀. It’s time to get serious!
A lot of people were disappointed, and couldn’t make out much of their goals and aspirations in 2020, and from these experiences, here are things you should not do, so that you can have a profitable year:
1. DON’T IGNORE REST: Whether you work for anyone or for yourself, ignoring to take a rest will cost you.
Your health and your mental state should be your top priority, and that would be hard to do when your brain doesn’t have an “off” button.
Go to sleep, or do whatever it is you do that relaxes you. I’m sure it is not out of place to require rest after fighting to survive 2020
2. DON’T IGNORE TIMELINES: Try arranging your goals with timelines, this will help you track your progress and keep you organized.
Don’t have your goals all over the place, control them, and not the other way round.
You will achieve better and even more than you expect.
3. QUIT COMPLAINING: You need to understand that sometimes, things will not go as planned.
If 2020 had given us a preview, I can assure you no one would have stayed up on New Year’s Eve to welcome the new year, but what do we know?
Your best bet is to prepare for surprises and capitalize on every opportunity, whether good or bad.
4. DON’T RELY ON IDEAS ALONE: Great ideas are… great, but they are never enough.
“Creative innovation” is key to success. If you want to achieve success this year, begin to find better ways to use the things around you to work for you.
During the lockdown of 2020, many teachers found creative ways to teach their students, we found creative ways to get our messages across to people, and companies found creative ways to work with their teams and reach out to their customers.
This is the era of innovation, and those who don’t ignore it will never be left behind.
5. DON’T IGNORE INVESTMENTS: No, you shouldn’t. In fact, you should take it very seriously.
The markets don’t care if there is a pandemic or not, when the time comes, you’ll just have to pay for the things you did or failed to do.
Every investment cycle occurs on its own time, not the time we would like it to. There are no specific timeframes to this, so if you see the opportunity, just take it.
But be careful too, because there are bad investments and you don’t want to be caught in the crosshairs of one.
If you don’t know which investment you can do, try a simple real estate investment plan like One sqm.
Real estate has been in great demand lately, especially in Nigeria’s commercial capital, Lagos.
In fact, despite a pandemic, a back-to-back recession, and a high rate of unemployment, real estate is still a thriving industry.
It has proven to be a very profitable venture, and you can hardly miss the mark if you have the right partners on your side.
